Donor Relations Officer

A mission-driven nonprofit organization in Fresno, CA is seeking a Donor Relations Officer to help expand fundraising capacity, strengthen donor engagement, and support impactful community programs. This direct hire opportunity is ideal for a fundraising professional who is skilled at building relationships, making direct asks, developing proposals, and managing a robust donor pipeline.

The Donor Relations Officer will work closely with leadership, program teams, community partners, and donors to advance annual fundraising goals and support major giving, sponsor ships, events, cause marketing, and capital campaign initiatives.   Monday through Friday, with the ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
• Salary range: $70,304 to $87,490 per year.

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university required.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in fund development, nonprofit fundraising, donor relations, or a related field.
• Experience directly asking for and closing donations, including building and maintaining long-term donor and organizational relationships.
• Ability to manage a large donor and prospect pipeline with strong follow-up, organization, and reporting discipline.
• Proficiency with donor CRM systems, current business software applications, reports, presentations, correspondence, and documentation.
• Understanding of data analysis, performance metrics, fundraising targets, and donor engagement tracking.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, including the ability to deliver presentations and represent the organization to external stakeholders.
• Demonstrated commitment to confidentiality, ethical fundraising practices, and donor privacy standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and diverse internal and external constituencies.
• Flexible, adaptable, creative problem solver with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to receive and apply constructive feedback.
• Deep interest in supporting a mission-driven nonprofit environment with sensitivity to domestic violence and trauma-informed practices.
• Valid California driver’s license and proof of liability insurance on personal auto required.
• Must be insurable at all times at a standard rate by the organization’s insurance carrier.
• Must successfully pass drug screening, background check, and tuberculosis test.
• Must comply with five-year annual DOJ verification authorization requirements.
