Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) – Night Shift

Facility: Community Regional Medical Center
Unit: Labor & Delivery (L&D)

Assignment Details
  • Shift: Nights
  • Hours: 36 hours guaranteed per week
  • Schedule: Three (3) 12‑hour shifts per week
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Start Date: ASAP
Position Summary

Community Regional Medical Center is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive care to mothers and newborns throughout the labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum process. The ideal candidate will be skilled in high‑acuity obstetric care and thrive in a fast‑paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assess, monitor, and care for antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients
  • Monitor fetal heart tracings and maternal status during labor
  • Assist physicians and midwives during deliveries and obstetric procedures
  • Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
  • Provide patient and family education regarding labor, delivery, and newborn care
  • Respond effectively to obstetric emergencies
  • Accurately document patient care and maintain compliance with facility standards
Requirements
  • Active RN License
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience
  • Current AHA BLS Certification
  • Advanced Fetal Monitoring Certification (preferred)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification
  • ACLS Certification (preferred or required per facility)
  • Previous travel nursing experience preferred
Patient Ratios
  • Laboring Patients: 1:1 or 1:2
  • Postpartum/Antepartum Patients:
    Per facility staffing guidelines
