Gurnick Academy is currently seeking Clinical Nursing Instructors for the Vocational Nursing program at our Fresno Campus, Part‑time positions available.

Hourly Range, Part‑Time: $35.00-$45.00

Schedule:

Mondays and Wednesdays 3:30 pm-11:30 pm

• Teach assigned classes in a clinical setting for our Vocational Nursing program.
• Meet with didactic and clinical faculty members to discuss program development.
• Support the Campus Director and Nursing Program Coordinator in the organization of the program and implementation of the program’s standards.
• Maintain continuous knowledge of medical education and assure the facilities meet continuous medical education requirements.

• The BVNPT is requiring a bachelor’s degree for LVN and RN faculty candidates.
• An instructor in a vocational nursing program shall have or be currently attending a course offered by an approved school in teaching; and shall meet the requirements of:
  Subsection A or B, below:
  • (A) Registered Nurse:
• Hold a current California active license as a Registered Nurse; and
• Hold a baccalaureate degree from an approved school; or a valid teaching credential; or have completed a minimum of one year full‑time teaching experience in a state‑approved registered nursing or vocational or practical nursing, or psychiatric technician school within the last five years; or meet community college or state university teaching requirements in California.
• Have a minimum of three years experience as a registered nurse or licensed vocational nurse within the last five years.
• (B) Licensed Vocational Nurse:
• Hold a current California active license as a Vocational Nurse; and
• Hold a baccalaureate degree from an approved school; or a valid teaching credential; or have completed a minimum of one year full‑time teaching experience in a state‑approved registered nursing or vocational or practical nursing, or psychiatric technician school within the last five years; or meet community college or state university teaching requirements in California.
• Have a minimum of three years experience as a vocational nurse within the last five years.
