Job Title:

Licensed Vocational Nurse / Licensed Psychiatric Technician. Division/Program:
Fresno Crisis Residential Treatment Facility. Starting Compensation: 32.00 - 34.00 USD Per Hour. Working

Location:

Fresno, CA. Working Hours/Shift: Per Diem coverage needed for Sunday Monday Tuesday AM: 6am to 6:30pm or NOC: 6pm to 6:30am.

What you bring to SBHG
  • Licensure: A valid California Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) license is required.
  • Certifications:

    Must obtain valid CPR and Pro-ACT certifications within 30 days of employment.
  • Medication administration experience:
    One (1) year of medication administration experience is preferred.
  • Nursing experience:
    One (1) year of nursing experience is required, preferably treating individuals with mental illness in an inpatient setting. (Clinical nursing school rotations may be substituted for work experience).
  • Education:

    High School diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED, HiSET) is required. Graduation from an accredited school of licensed vocational nursing, psychiatric technology, or an associate's degree in nursing or social sciences is preferred.
How you will make a difference

Provides direct nursing care and supervises same provided by all nursing staff on the shift worked. Makes written or oral shift assignments and plans, organizes, and directs the nursing activities of the unit, assuring quality care delivery. Visually and audibly observes, documents in writing, and reports orally or in writing the physical or mental condition to the Program Manager and the attending physician or nurse practitioner.

Orders, prepares, administers, and documents the administration of medication for clients according to physicians’ or nurse practitioners’ orders. Confirms delivery of all ordered medication from pharmacy on shift worked. Responsible for writing a weekly summary on clients as assigned. Monitors and maintains appropriate nursing documentation in the medical record for shift worked.

24/7 inpatient voluntary program 16-bed facility for adults (ages 18-59) Rehabilitation/recovery services, including substance use rehabilitation services Pre-vocational or vocational counseling Medication evaluation and support services.
