Emergency Department Registered Nurse
The incumbent practices as an RN in the Emergency Department (ED). The ED is an area capable of providing care to a variety of patients, including responding to patient codes in the outpatient arena. The range of patient needs can be outpatient services to caring for patients requiring full resuscitation and monitoring. The ED provides patient centered, quality and efficient care to Veterans in need of emergency services.
Major duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide care to a patient population which includes but is not limited to: cardiovascular disease, pulmonary disease, diabetes, substance abuse, psychiatric disorders, orthopedic, GI, vascular diseases, vascular surgery, women's health issues and minor trauma
- Accountable as a primary nurse for a defined group of patients for the entire episode of care
- May be assigned responsibilities as preceptors, charge nurse or unit shift leader

Pay:
Competitive salary, regular salary increases, potential for performance awards
