ResponsibilitiesThe Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) identifies patient needs, maintains quality standards, and provides basic patient care. The LVN also partners with the Registered Nurse (RN) to perform skills, procedures, and other tasks that are outside their clinical scope of practice.
QualificationsEducation:
- High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required
- Completion of an accredited Vocational Nursing School program OR become licensed by equivalency required
Experience:
- Must have at least 1+ Years of acute care experience
Licenses and
Certifications:
- BLS
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required - LVN
- Current State of California Licensed Vocational Nurse License required - IV Therapy Certification (LVN) required
- ACLS
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification preferred
