Critical Care Nurse
Providing nursing care to acutely or critically ill patients with an assigned unit or clinic;
Implementing medical care plans;
Directing and supervising the patient care provided by nursing personnel assigned to the unit;
Maintaining standard unit activities in the absence of the Head Nurse; and Performing other related duties as assigned/required. Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate. Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders. Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment.
Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required. RN Critical Care-SF. RN Registered Nurse Critical Care. Traveler RN Critical Care-SF.
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). National Institutes of Health (NIH).
