Job Title:
Licensed Vocational Nurse / Licensed Psychiatric Technician Division/Program:
Fresno Psychiatric Health Facility (PHF)
Starting Compensation:
32.00 - 34.00 USD Per Hour Working
Location:
Fresno, CAWorking Hours/Shift: Thursday, Friday and Saturday NOC 6pm to 630 am. $2 Additional for NOC Shift.

What you bring to SBHG:
Licensure:
A valid California Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) license is required.
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED, HiSET) is required.
Graduation from an accredited school of licensed vocational nursing, psychiatric technology, or an associate’s degree in nursing or social sciences is preferred.
Experience:
One (1) year of nursing experience is required, preferably treating individuals with mental illness in an inpatient setting. (Clinical nursing school rotations may be substituted for work experience).One (1) year of medication administration experience is preferred.
Certifications:
Must obtain valid CPR and Pro-ACT certifications within 30 days of employment.
How you will make a difference:
The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) / Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) is responsible for monitoring and documenting clients' physical and mental health status, administering and documenting medications as prescribed, and communicating any concerns to the Registered Nurse and attending physician. This role participates in treatment team meetings, shift exchanges, and daily rounds while helping coordinate and oversee nursing activities to ensure quality client care.
Additional responsibilities include providing nursing interventions within the scope of licensure, supporting the admission process by reviewing admission documentation, coordinating admissions, completing required verifications and forms, and helping maintain full utilization of program beds.

Serving youth, ages 12-17, dealing with acute psychiatric symptoms
Facility & Setting: 24/7 inpatient Involuntary program, 16-bed facility
Clinical Services:
Admission; engagement; learning; stabilization and linkage to resources and aftercare
