About the PositionThe NP/PA will work closely with our interventional pain physician and experienced clinical staff in evaluating and managing patients with acute and chronic pain conditions.
Our practice emphasizes multimodal treatment strategies, including interventional procedures, rehabilitation, medication management, patient education, and individualized treatment planning.
The ideal candidate is clinically thoughtful, compassionate, organized, dependable, and enjoys working collaboratively within a supportive medical team.
- Conduct comprehensive new-patient and follow-up evaluations
- Obtain detailed medical histories and perform focused physical examinations
- Develop and manage individualized, multimodal pain treatment plans
- Monitor treatment response and modify care plans when appropriate
- Participate in appropriate medication management and monitoring
- Coordinate physical therapy, imaging, diagnostic testing, and specialist referrals
- Review diagnostic imaging and relevant laboratory findings
- Educate patients regarding diagnoses, treatment options, pain-management pathways, and realistic treatment goals
- Provide pre-procedure and post-procedure education and follow-up
- Collaborate closely with interventional physicians regarding procedural treatment options
- Perform or assist with appropriate in-office procedures, including trigger-point injections and joint injections, based on training, experience, credentialing, and scope of practice
- Candidates without procedural experience should have a willingness to learn; training can be provided
- Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough clinical documentation
- Communicate effectively with physicians, staff, referring providers, and patients
- Contribute to an efficient, compassionate, and patient-centered clinical environment
- Active, unrestricted California Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license
- Graduate of an accredited NP or PA program
- Master’s degree in Nursing, Physician Assistant Studies, or related advanced-practice field
- Current or eligible DEA registration
