$32 - $36 / hour

What you'll be doing as a Manufacturing Quality Engineer:- Interpret, build upon, and comply with the company's quality assurance and control standards. Provide the highest level of internal and external customer service.
- Determines quality improvement parameters by identifying statistical methods relevant to manufacturing processes.
- Establishes statistical confidence by identifying sample size and acceptable error and determining levels of confidence.
- Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data; and making recommendations.
- Investigate and document all external customer complaints and internal non-conformance product.
- Follow the Customer Complaint process to ensure the customer is properly taken care.
- Document customer complaints, conduct RCCA meetings with different team members, follow up corrective actions credits and replacements.
- Assists in control of all Internal Holds and Non-Conformance quantities, maintain and organize quality documents.
- Initiate and execute projects related to Internal Holds and Non-Conformance to improve product and service quality.
- Develop and maintain internal Quality Assurance System, compiling and maintaining all records and reports.
- Identify training needs that improves product quality across the company, prepares documentation like SOPs, visual aids and other training procedures as required and ensure company wide participation.
- Conduct internal quality audits, identify gaps and develop systems to improve existing quality processes
- Setup and operate all diagnostic and laboratory equipment needed to perform job duties.
- Performs inventory transactions within the company's ERP system (SAP) and in Production and Quality Databases.
- Rejects defective products and quarantines in accordance to established nonconformity procedures.
- Maintains and promotes good housekeeping practices within QC lab & assigned work area.
- Provides support and help QC Technicians on implementing proper quality practices, techniques and lead by example.
- Setup, calibrate and train personnel on the Quality Lab equipment, lead daily activities and procedures.
- Act as a backup for the Quality Manager and Quality Lead in their absence and provide necessary direction to the manufacturing teams.
- Observes all safety and security procedures for all equipment and facilities.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Brainstorms ideas to create solutions for identified problems.
1st Shift (Day)
Job requirements:- Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with People Ready
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in engineering background or related field
- 2 years of experience in a quality control or manufacturing environment
- Must be willing to work in off-shifts and long hours when required
- Strong analytical & mathematical skills, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail, and multi-tasking skills
- Able to effectively communicate verbally and written in English
- Keeps an open mind and maintains a level head through any situations
- Should be able to work amicably with employees at all levels and departments
- Must have high standards for oneself and others
- Working knowledge of Quality System requirements
- Proficient computer competence in report writing and communicating via emails and Microsoft Office suite
- Proficient use and operation of measuring tools and measuring equipment, micrometer, calipers and gauges etc
- Able to read, analyze, and interpret blueprints
- Must be highly disciplined, organized and detail-oriented
- Must be a self-starter and team player
- Able to work with little or no supervision
- High sensitivity to quality
- Mechanical aptitude
- Bilingual (English & Spanish)
- Experience is training other individuals or teams
- Minimum 2 years of experience in extrusion
- ISO Quality practices
- Certified Quality Engineer or Auditor
- Lean Six Sigma Principles and SPC experience
- Background check and Drug test required
