A Taste of What You'll Do

Seasonal Laboratory Technicians will gain hands-on experience in a lab environment while playing an instrumental role in Gallo's harvest season. Join us for the opportunity to utilize your skills in driving grape quality while contributing to our wine and spirits making process.

• Perform physical and chemical analyses using appropriate distillation, titrimetric, colorimetric, and instrumental methods to support grape harvest
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments such as gas chromatographs, high performance liquid chromatographs, atomic absorption spectrometers, and other instruments as required
• Process laboratory samples and prepare chemical solutions according to guidelines
• Collect grape and wine samples from different winery sites and deliver them to various labs in a timely manner
• Utilize electronic devices to communicate work progress, perform data analysis/compilation, and write reports

What You'll Need

• Bachelor's Degree OR High School diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 3 years of Seasonal GALLO experience OR High School diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 3 years of experience in Seasonal or Lab Technician at a winery or vineyard.
• Required to possess strong verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Required to lift and carry cases of product that can weigh up to 50 pounds.
• Required to maintain 3 shift availability (day, swing, and graveyard); required to work overtime and weekends when necessary.
• Required to conduct work at extreme heights.
• Required to be at least 21 years of age.
• Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
