Hire Up Staffing is currently seeking a Quality Control for our Fresno client! This is a full time temp to hire position paying $18 - $22 an hour.
Role PurposeThis role supports product quality through in-process and final inspection, verification of product requirements, and documentation of inspection results. The position ensures that manufactured product meets drawing, Work Order, and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Perform in-process and final inspection of product using appropriate measurement tools.
- Verify product meets drawing requirements, Work Order specifications, and applicable standards.
- Perform layout inspections and support First Article Inspections (as assigned).
- Operate inspection equipment including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMM (as trained).
- Conduct attribute inspections including visual verification, part identification, and marking requirements.
- Accurately record inspection results and maintain required documentation.
- Identify nonconforming product and ensure proper segregation and identification.
- Communicate inspection results and issues to production and Quality Manager.
- Support production by verifying critical characteristics and process requirements.
- Ensure inspection activities are performed in accordance with Work Orders and applicable Control Plan requirements.
- Identify and elevate nonconformances or unclear requirements.
- Support alignment between actual inspection practices and documented requirements.
- Authority to stop production when nonconforming product is identified.
- Authority to stop shipment of nonconforming product.
- Authority to identify and segregate nonconforming material.
- Authority to elevate quality concerns to supervision or Quality Manager.
- Follow company safety requirements.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience in manufacturing or inspection preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and Work Orders.
- Basic understanding of measurement tools and inspection methods.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Communication skills for coordination with production and quality.
- Use of inspection equipment (calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM as applicable).
- Blueprint reading.
- Work Order and inspection requirements.
- Control Plan awareness (process-based).
- Safety training.
- Monday - Friday.
