The pay rate for this job is $25 - $28 / hour*
What you'll be doing as a Quality Assurance Lab Technician:- Operates all diagnostic and laboratory equipment needed to perform job duties.
- Conducts all necessary recycle material testing in the laboratory.
- Rejects defective material and quarantines in accordance to established nonconformity procedures.
- Manage the Material Review Board (MRB) for the plant.
- Performs calibration of all assigned lab and production equipment at assigned frequencies.
- Maintains and promotes good housekeeping practices within QC lab & assigned work area on production floor
- Assists in control of all Internal Holds and Non-Conformance quantities, maintain quality documents and keeps them organized.
- Assists Quality Lead, Engineer and Quality Manager in data collection methodologies and quantification on financial impact of results and any other duties assigned by immediate manager.
- Assists in maintaining internal Quality Assurance System, compiling, maintaining and retaining all records and reports
- Participates in internal quality audits.
- Provides support and help to production team by coaching other technicians on the proper quality practices, techniques and lead by example.
- Perform duties as Quality Control Technician performing quantitative and qualitative tests on samples produced by the production line and communicates to Supervisor(s) of "Out of Specs" results and trends every single incident.
- Trained and proficient in all QC technician daily activities and procedures
- Observes all safety and security procedures for all equipment and facilities
Shift Timings: 2nd Shift (Evening)
Job requirements:- Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with People Ready
- High school diploma
- 2 years of experience in a quality control/manufacturing environment
- Must be willing to work in off-shifts and long hours when required
- Good computer operating and Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel skills
- Strong analytical, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail, multi-tasking skills
- Able to effectively communicate in verbal and written English
- Exceptional mathematical skills including add, subtract, multiply, divide, using whole numbers, common fractions & decimals
- Working knowledge of Quality System requirements
- Proficient computer competence in report writing and communicating via emails and Microsoft Office suite
- Proficient use and operation of measuring tools and measuring equipment, micrometer, calipers and plug gauges
- Able to read, analyze, and interpret blueprints
- Must be highly disciplined, organized and detail-oriented
- Must be a self - starter and team player
- Able to work with little or no supervision
- High sensitivity to quality
- Mechanical aptitude
- Experience in training other individuals
- Minimum 2 years of experience in extrusion
- ISO Quality practices
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear
- The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 65 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
