Job Type: Full‑Time Mon‑Fri 12:00 PM‑8:00 PM
Full‑time employees receive a comprehensive compensation package that includes 100 % employer‑paid medical insurance, with options for dependents, dental and vision plans, an employee assistance program, ESOP and 401(k) plans, 8 paid holidays, paid sick and paid vacation time earned on an accrued basis. The pay range for this position is $16.50–$20.00 hourly, with offers based on the successful candidate’s experience.
Role and Responsibilities- Supports analysts in providing routine sample‑preparation services and performs designated analyses using established standard operating procedures and basic equipment.
- Prepares samples for designated analyses.
- Prioritizes sample and prep analysis by hold times and due dates.
- Checks the work log and schedules daily work in keeping with the overall lab schedules and sample holding times.
- Obtains samples from sample storage.
- Prepares samples according to standard operating procedure.
- Confers with supervisor or the responsible analyst on any problem.
- Records weight/volume of samples, dilutions and spiked sample preparation into LIMS bench sheets.
- Verifies the data entered into LIMS and batch sheets is accurate.
- Conducts designated analyses.
- Prepares standards.
- Performs analyses according to standard procedures and performs any necessary calculations.
- Reviews data to check that results meet quality control requirements and submits data and results.
- Reports quality control data and sample results.
- Miscellaneous laboratory operations.
- Ensures sufficient supply of consumable inventory. When necessary, submits reorder requests to supervisor for approval.
- Makes entries in the log books and LIMS when applicable.
- Maintains a clean and organized bench space.
- Entry‑level with no formal training, high‑school diploma.
- Two (2) years of college chemistry or related science and/or equivalent experience is a plus.
- PC skills required, preferably MS Office applications.
