Customer Service​/Sales

Position Purpose:

Customer Service/Sales associates provide fast, friendly service by actively seeking out customers to assess their needs and provide assistance. These associates learn about products using our tools and provide information to customers to sell entire projects. They will learn how to greet, qualify, recommend, and close sales with customers in their department, as well as handle basics in adjacent departments.

Responsibilities include maintaining the in-stock condition of assigned areas, ensuring they are clean, shop-able, and safe. Associates must follow all safety policies & standards, complete safety training, correct hazards immediately or report them to the Manager on Duty, and work safely to prevent endangering themselves, co-workers, vendors, or customers.

They work in cooperation with their Department Supervisor and other team members across departments. Store departments may include Building Materials, Décor, Electrical, Flooring, Garden, Hardware, Kitchen & Bath, Lumber, Millwork, Paint, Plumbing, and Tool Rental.

The position may include roles such as Department Sales, Lead Generator, Pro Account Sales, Sales Specialist, Special Services, and Customer Order Specialist.

Starting pay ranges from $20.00 to $23.00.
