Position Overview

Job : R26_ – NAPA Counter Sales associate – Fresno, CA, USA. This role is the “face” of the retail store, providing automotive parts assistance and customer service to both retail and wholesale customers. Work in a fast‑paced environment using computer, cash register, telephone, and paper catalog system.

• Provide auto parts answers and solutions for retail and wholesale customers in person at the counter or over the phone.
• Assist other NAPA team members in answering customer questions.
• Deliver outstanding customer care and interactions with every visitor to the store.
• Bring customer focus and high energy to the fast‑paced store.
• Welcome retail customers into the store and engage to provide a positive consumer experience.
• Use technology (computer), cash register, telephone, and paper catalog system.

• Genuinely enjoy helping customers with auto parts and service questions.
• Have experience in the automotive industry, parts store, or hands‑on repair of cars and trucks.
• Willing to learn all things automotive if background is limited.
• Desire to join a team where career growth opportunities exist.
• Valid driver’s license.
• High school diploma or GED; technical or trade school courses or degree welcomed.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Love fast‑paced retail environments.
• Great listening skills and empathy for customers.

• Background or passion for automotive, heavy equipment, farm industry, diesel, marine, or dealership.
• Experience in a parts store, auction, retail store, or auto body/collision.
• Knowledge of cataloging and/or inventory management systems.
• Entirely customer‑centric (external/internal).
• ASE certifications.

Hourly pay of $19.75 with progression within 12 months.
