Job Description

As a Nordstrom Rack team member you’ll move and collaborate continuously with teammates to create a welcoming atmosphere for all customers. You’ll ensure a quick, easy customer experience while keeping the store clean and clutter‑free.

• Work with the team to keep the sales floor runway‑ready, re‑merchandising and straightening throughout the day.
• Assist customers at the cashier while handling a variety of transactions across in‑store, online and mobile platforms, operating the point‑of‑sale system, bagging items of all sizes, handling bulky or heavy items, and ensuring a friendly experience.
• Create a smooth fitting‑room experience by greeting and assisting customers, sorting and returning clothing to the floor.
• Maintaining a clean and clutter‑free customer experience by constantly sorting and returning clothing to the sales floor.
• Keep the stockrooms organized, properly checking in merchandise and ensuring accurate ticketing.
• Demonstrate expertise in all store technologies.
• Adhere to all operational, merchandise and asset‑protection standards.
• Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
• Receive, unload freight, unpack and deliver newly arrived merchandise to selling departments.
• Fulfill customer orders on time while meeting quality standards.
• Prepare and ship customer orders with proper packing and shipping standards.
• Use inventory‑management systems to scan, process and research merchandise shipments according to inventory‑control processes.
• Help maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
• Provide general support to the store, including setting up special events, organizing backroom markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.

• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.

• Continuous movement for 6‑8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing and reaching.
• Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling.
• Handle bulky or awkwardly shaped items, lifting up to 25 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 50 pounds for stock and fulfillment.
• Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds; occasionally up to 25 pounds.

$17.50 – $18.20 hourly. Pay is dependent on location and job‑related knowledge, skills and experience.
