The Courtesy Clerk provides excellent customer service at the check stand by bagging groceries quickly and carefully,assisting customers with carry-out, and helping themlocateproducts. Courtesy Clerks also collect shopping carts,maintaincleanliness in the store and parking lot, and perform custodial duties to keep facilities safe, clean, and welcoming for customers.

Bag groceries according to Vallarta’s procedures and customer requests.

Assist customers with carry-out service andlocatingproducts in the store.

Performaccurateprice checks as requested.

Check and secure items at the bottom of shopping carts when trained.

Perform 'go-backs,'promptly returning perishable and non-perishable items to shelves.

Safely gather shopping carts using reflectivevestandrope.

Assist with spills, clean-ups, restroom cleaning, sweeping, mopping, and trash removal (if trained).

Clean store perimeters, including cart corrals, parking lot, sidewalks, and receiving dock.

Monitor andreportbuilding maintenance needs or safety hazards.

Keep janitorial room organized and stocked with approved supplies (if trained).

Alwaysmaintainhigh housekeeping and safety standards.

Treat coworkers and customers respectfully at all times.

Abide by all store rules, company policies, and Employee Handbook.

Report injuries, unsafe conditions, or misconduct to management.

Performadditionalduties as assigned.

Stand and walk constantly (6–8+ hours/day).

Frequently bend neck/waist, squat, twist, and reach above/below shoulders.

Frequent use of hands for grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine manipulation.

Lift and carry up to 25 lbs.frequently, and up to 40 lbs. occasionally (e.g., dog food bags).

Heaviest itemrequiredto carry: 40 lbs., up to 40 feet.

Operate manual pallet jacks safely (buddy systemrequiredfor pallets).

Work near equipment/machinery and on uneven ground.

Exposure todust, gas, fumes, temperature, and humidity changes.

Friendly, courteous personality with strong customer service skills.

Ability to learnstoreproduct locations and support customers.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.

Mustexhibita responsible, professional, and positive attitude.

Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
