Job Summary
The Warehouse Systems Sales Specialist at Fleet Team supports New Equipment Account Representatives and PS&R Reps with warehouse equipment opportunities. Responsibilities include designing solutions for products like pallet racking, industrial shelving, conveyors, modular offices, mezzanines, ASRS products, and AMR/AGV. The role involves sales prospecting, collaboration with internal sales teams, managing customer and vendor relations, and overseeing projects from concept to commissioning.
All daily activities must be documented in a CRM (Salesforce) system. This results‑driven position requires strong sales prospecting, project management skills, and familiarity with warehouse systems.
- Engage prospects and customers, incorporating proven sales techniques and a consultative approach to effectively demonstrate Fleet Team Warehouse System Solutions.
- Meet customer expectations for continued support and follow-up after sales are final, including proper installation of warehouse systems, potential design changes or additions, efficiency of product storage, and maintenance or repairs.
- Identify and target new sales opportunities within segmented markets such as 3PL, warehouse distribution, manufacturing, cold storage, etc.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve measured targets.
- Conduct market research to stay informed on industry trends and competitor activities.
- Support account representatives with customer needs, including pre‑arranged appointments or cold calls related to warehouse products and services.
- Collaborate with other internal department staff members as needed, working closely with all company divisions to develop cross‑selling strategies and ensure a great customer experience.
- Work with account reps and customers to solve material handling issues within their organization.
- Design and create multiple concepts for warehousing throughput to help increase optimization for customers and prospects.
- Use Salesforce to track daily customer interactions.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activity and customer interactions.
- Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management review.
- Develop yearly and quarterly sales plans.
- Attend company meetings and sales training, which may include overnight travel.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technologies preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in sales, warehouse systems, or a related field
- Strong technical background in engineering, warehouse systems, or related fields.
- Proven experience in outside sales, preferably in warehouse systems or material handling solutions (pallet racking, industrial shelving, conveyors, modular offices, mezzanines, ASRS products, and AMR/AGV).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey information to internal and external customers clearly and concisely.
- Ability to develop relationships with customers.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to read and create CAD drawings in a 2D environment.

$75,000 - $88,000 base salary; plus commission
