Territory Account Executive – Square
Responsible for building and closing sales in a specified territory, delivering Square's ecosystem of products to local businesses.
Responsibilities- Lead market presence with disciplined, in‑person execution – spending ~80% of the week in the field, engaging local businesses, and conducting live demos.
- Run a full‑cycle, self‑sourced sales motion: generate leads, identify needs, deliver compelling demos, and close deals across Square's full product suite.
- Establish yourself as the go‑to Square expert in the city – build strong, trust‑based relationships, partner cross‑functionally for seamless onboarding, and implement a referral strategy.
- Build a high‑velocity pipeline from the ground up – develop a repeatable top‑of‑funnel engine through outreach, events, and partnerships; collaborate with channel partners to generate a consistent referral stream.
- Master verticals and sell with precision – gain deep expertise in restaurants, retail, and services; sell consultatively and strategically throughout the sales cycle.
- Achieve exceptional results – maintain rigorous Salesforce activity, track pipeline, forecast accurately, measure performance, and consistently exceed quota.
- 3+ years of full‑cycle sales experience with field sales.
- Consistent track record of exceeding sales targets and closing complex deals.
- Ability to drive deals independently in a fast‑paced environment.
- Business development experience (hunting and cold calling).
- Reliable transportation and residence within the served market.
- Collaborative, team‑player mentality.
- Prior Salesforce experience or equivalent.
- Preferred:
- 2+ years in payment processing or related technology.
- 1+ year of relevant audience experience (restaurants, retailers, services).
