Position Summary

Our Sales Representative position offers an exciting chance to fuel our company's growth. You will oversee a broad array of existing convenience store customers, driving sales through our varied food service and convenience programs. Your role extends beyond maintaining existing customers; it involves tapping into new customers and forging strong business relationships. This role is a journey of building success stories and enhancing profitability store by store, with your compensation directly reflecting these achievements.

Position

Details
  • Competitive starting salary range of $75k-$90k, depending on experience, during the training period. Post training, Sales Reps can earn uncapped commissions, spiffs + subsidy until they scale their territory to 100% commission. Top performers can earn well over $100,000 annually.
  • Unlike traditional commission-based sales, our Sales Reps earn commissions on every order, not just one-time deals, providing a steady stream of income from day one.
  • Work Schedule:

    Monday – Friday, standard business hours.
  • Work Location:

    Field Sales role in the local territory, reporting to the Bakersfield OpCo (200 Core Mark Court, Bakersfield CA 93307).
  • Travel: 80% driving in the local territory (Fresno & Mid-Valley). Mileage reimbursement and a car allowance provided through our Car Data program.
  • Car allowance + mileage reimbursement through Car Data Program.
  • Travel to Bakersfield OpCo for sales meetings and based on business needs.
  • Monthly Cell Phone stipend.
Job Responsibilities
  • Grow sales and profit margins through execution of a sales strategy and territory management, tailoring sales approaches for individual customers.
  • Prospect and onboard new customer accounts, including cold calling to build a robust pipeline of opportunities.
  • Educate customers on convenience and food service programs, new product promotions, marketing policies, service, delivery specifics, and industry activities.
  • Review daily/weekly/monthly reports with the store manager and assist with any arising opportunities.
  • Minimize accounts receivable problems by monitoring compliance with credit terms and following up on any issues.
  • Maintain awareness of pricing trends within the sales territory, ensuring competitive pricing.
  • Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will increase sales.
  • Participate in relevant industry events and networking opportunities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Ideal Candidate
  • Proven success with closing sales for a variety of product lines with B2B.
  • Proven and successful sales ledger travel & effective time management experience.
  • General knowledge of food safety standards including basic HACCP practice, cold-chain integrity, transporting perishable foods, and maintaining Serv‑Safe certification.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, able to work independently with little direction.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with a demonstrated ability to conduct professional, results‑driven customer presentations.
  • Intermediate abilities with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, PowerPoint & Power BI.
  • Energetic and entrepreneurial spirit with competitive drive.
  • Sales professional with experience and track record of growing market share.
  • Proven success with relationship building and providing consultative services for customers.
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED is required.
  • Must own a reliable vehicle with a valid driver’s license, current auto insurance with a clean driving record.
  • Must have at least 3 years of sales, account management or business development experience.
