We’re seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated Weather Anchor to join our top-rated AM Live and Midday teams. This person will be responsible for producing and presenting accurate, engaging forecasts with a focus on how the weather impacts our viewers. The successful candidate will embrace new technology, excel at severe weather coverage for linear and digital platforms, and thrive in a team setting.
Minimum Qualifications- Ability to analyze weather information and identify important atmospheric events
- Skilled in using computer model data to produce accurate forecasts
- Confidence delivering weather, fire, and earthquake information live on the air, including during emergency situations
- Proficient in producing weather graphics
- Three years of professional experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Meteorology degree or certificate
- Knowledge of Dalet and weather software
- Bachelor of Science degree
- Degree in Meteorology or associated geoscience
The pay rate for this role in Fresno, California is $36.06 to $50.48 per hour. The pay rate actually offered may vary depending on the candidate’s job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. The role also has potential for additional compensation for overtime and early morning/overnight shifts.
