The position of safety member consists of protecting property, assets, or people. Duties and responsibilities include guarding, patrolling, monitoring premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules. This is a temporary and seasonal position for City Center. The position requires flexibility in shifts, including weekends and overnight shifts.

What you'll do (just the basics):

Answer alarms and investigate disturbances.
Call the police or fire department in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
Monitor and authorize entrance or departures of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain the security of premises.
Patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure the security of doors, windows, and gates.
Warn persons of rule infractions or violations and evict violators from premises.
Write reports of daily activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to give full attention to what other people are saying and doing, and to use logic and reason to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions.
De-escalate situations and apply conflict resolution techniques
Previous security experience is preferred
