The Systems Technician installs new electrical systems and repairs existing electrical systems while maintaining compliance with national, state and local electrical codes.

• Program, commission and start-up of low voltage systems including but not limited to Fire Alarm, Security, Access Control and Surveillance
• Installation and testing of low voltage devices, wiring and rough‑in
• Supervise, direct, monitor, train and work alongside helpers, installers, telecom techs or electricians
• Instruct employees in the correct operation of tools and equipment, safe work principles and technical principles being used
• Provide input on employee evaluations
• Complete all assignment‑related paperwork accurately and in a timely manner
• Attend all foreman meetings
• Maintain regular, reliable, predictable attendance with minimal loss of work time
• Collaborate with Fire Marshal on project final inspections
• Troubleshoot and diagnose installation and programming issues
• Identify, schedule and facilitate all jobsite related inspections with customer and field service manager

• Wearing of personal protective equipment (PPE), always including a hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, work boots and high‑viz vest/shirt

• Proficiency in all aspects of fire alarm, security, access control and surveillance products and services
• Effective communication with managers, sales, foremen, general contractors and customers
• Good initiative and organization throughout the work day
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• EST Certified (preferred)
• NICET Certification Preferred
