Job Description APEX General Inc.
Position Summary APEX General Inc. is seeking a skilled and motivated HVAC Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair residential and commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, customer-oriented, and capable of delivering high-quality workmanship while representing the company professionally in the field.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Install residential and commercial HVAC systems.
Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on heating and cooling equipment.
Troubleshoot electrical, refrigerant, airflow, and control system issues.
Install and replace furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, mini-split systems, package units, and rooftop units.
Perform system startups, testing, and commissioning.
Measure and verify system performance including airflow, temperature split, refrigerant charge, voltage, and amperage.
Complete preventative maintenance inspections and provide recommendations to customers.
Maintain accurate job notes, photos, and documentation within company software.
Ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications, local codes, and safety regulations.
Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in clean working condition.
Communicate effectively with customers, dispatchers, project managers, and team members.
Qualifications Minimum 2 years HVAC installation and/or service experience preferred.
EPA Certification required.
Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
Strong understanding of HVAC systems, controls, electrical components, and refrigeration cycles.
Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and equipment specifications.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in attics, crawl spaces, rooftops, and outdoor environments.
Preferred Certifications EPA Universal Certification NATE Certification OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
Manufacturer Training Certifications
Physical Requirements Lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds.
Climb ladders and work k in varying weather conditions.
Stand, kneel, bend, and crouch for extended periods.
