Facilities HVAC/REFRIGERATION FACILITIES MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN Job Description
This role is a hands‑on facilities maintenance position supporting a warehouse home base and multiple field locations. The position is available at multiple levels (Maintenance II, III), ranging from 4 to 10+ years of experience, and focuses on a broad range of building maintenance tasks including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and equipment servicing for drink and espresso machines.
Responsibilities- Perform general facilities maintenance across electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
- Install, change, and repair electrical outlets, and troubleshoot electrical issues within the building.
- Diagnose and resolve basic plumbing issues, including identifying leaks, blockages, and other common problems.
- Carry out minor carpentry work within the facility, such as repairs, adjustments, and small construction tasks.
- Perform HVAC servicing at various client locations, including routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
- Service and maintain drink equipment, including espresso machines, mixers, ice machines, and other related equipment after receiving company‑provided training.
- For Maintenance Technician II (approximately 1–3+ years of experience), maintain specific equipment such as drink and espresso machines and apply a solid foundational understanding of building systems.
- For Maintenance Technician III (approximately 5–10 years of experience), perform advanced troubleshooting and repairs across all building systems and serve as a jack‑of‑all‑trades for complex maintenance issues.
- Drive a company vehicle to various locations throughout the Central Valley to perform on‑site maintenance and equipment servicing.
- Work both indoors and outdoors, including at locations that may require operating in adverse weather conditions.
- Follow safety procedures and best practices when working with tools, equipment, and building systems.
- Document work performed, maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, and communicate issues or needs to the appropriate contacts.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with HVAC servicing, including routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting, is highly valued.
- Background in plumbing, welding, woodworking, electrical work, or other skilled trades is considered ideal.
- EPA Universal certification is a plus but not required.
- Maintenance‑related certifications are a plus but not required.
- Experience maintaining and servicing drink machines, espresso machines, and ice machines is beneficial but can be learned through training.
- Drywall repair, painting, and general construction skills are advantageous.
- Prior handyman experience and a broad mix of skilled trades is strongly preferred.
- Comfort performing janitorial duties and general facility upkeep as part of the role.
The home base is a warehouse facility that is indoors, with adequate temperature conditions and a generally loud atmosphere due to equipment and operations. During the workday, you will drive a company car to various locations throughout the Central Valley to perform on‑site maintenance and equipment servicing. Some locations are outdoors, and you may occasionally need to work in adverse weather conditions.
The role involves regular use of hand and power tools, interaction with drink and espresso machines, ice machines, and building systems such as electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC. The environment is active and hands‑on, suited to someone comfortable working around machinery, tools, and varying site conditions.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fresno, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $32.00/hr.
