Field Construction Materials Testing Technician Level I/II

We're looking for inspection and testing professionals to join us in providing high-level inspection and testing services to our diverse client base on projects throughout California. This position offers a dynamic work environment, the opportunity to work on multiple high-profile projects, and be part of an industry leading company.

This position requires the ability to:

  • Bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds (22.68 kg) repetitively and over 50 pounds (22.68 kg) using handling equipment (hand truck, etc.).
  • Operate heavy equipment as necessary (i.e., ultrasonic non-destructive testing machine, concrete cylinder press, etc.).
  • Maintain safe mobility over construction obstacles by foot and ladder, traversing over rough broken ground and steep surfaces.
  • Work outside in variable weather at field sites and in labs with various levels of safety protection required.

While much of the work is local to the Office Area assigned, travel throughout Northern California will be required.

The ideal candidate for this role of Technician II should meet all of the criteria of the Technician I plus:

  • 1-3 years of construction materials testing experience.
  • At least four field-oriented Certifications (Caltrans, ACI, NICET)

In addition to the above required certifications, hiring preference will be given to those with any of the following desired certifications:

  • Caltrans testing certifications
  • ACI
  • NICET
  • NACE
  • NDT

    Benefits:
    Kleinfelder offers an excellent compensation and benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) plan, and paid holidays. The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the California Pay Scale Disclosure Law. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience. Hourly pay is expected to be $25.00 - $33.00/hr.
