** What you'll be doing as a Restoration Carpenter:*
* + Perform carpentry repairs, framing, trim work, drywall installation, patching, texturing, and painting

+ Assist with residential and commercial restoration and reconstruction projects following fire, water, storm, or other property damage

+ Complete demolition, repairs, and rebuilding as directed

+ Safely operate hand and power tools

+ Load, unload, and transport materials and equipment to job sites

+ Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

+ Follow all company safety policies and procedures

+ Provide professional customer service while working at occupied job sites

* + Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with People Ready

+ Previous experience in carpentry, drywall, and painting is required

+ Restoration experience is preferred but not required

+ A valid California driver's license with a clean driving record is required

+ Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work

+ Comfortable working indoors, outdoors, and in varying weather conditions

+ Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team

+ Schedule & Availability

+ Standard schedule is Monday through Friday

+ Open availability is required

+ Associates may occasionally be placed on call and asked to work evenings, overtime, or weekends to respond to emergency restoration projects

+ Most projects are local, covering the area from Chowchilla to Visalia

+ Under normal circumstances, associates will return home each day

+ During large-scale disasters or catastrophic events, associates may be asked to travel outside the local area to assist with restoration efforts

+ Prior carpentry experience is all that's required

+ BELFOR provides additional job-specific training and certifications after hire

+ Background check and drug test required
