Field Service Technician

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair Crown and other makes of lift trucks
• Perform assigned planned maintenance on customer lift trucks
• Maintain a service van and its inventory
• Process paperwork after completing each job
• Provide local customer support for material handling equipment and services

• Less than 2 years related experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license and good driving record
• Ability to safely operate lift trucks
• Good mechanical and electrical aptitudes
• Knowledge of electrical/electronic systems, hydraulics, and internal combustion engines
• Ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics
• Good written and verbal communication and customer care skills
• Familiarity with common hand tools, electrical/air tools, torch, arc welder, and testing equipment
• Ability to read and understand service manuals, plan, and follow through
• Legally authorized to work in the United States; no current or future sponsorship available
• Technical degree, previous lift truck repair, welding experience, industry-related training, and knowledge of various testing equipment preferred

Demonstrates strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair lift trucks, including knowledge of electrical systems, hydraulics, and internal combustion engines. Proficient in customer support and communication, ensuring effective service delivery and maintenance.
