As our new Maintenance Mechanic II you will be maintaining and optimizing production machinery, leading technical projects, and mentoring fellow technicians to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing operations at our Fresno facility. What you will be doing:As a key part of the Industrial Maintenance team, you'll create impact by ensuring reliable, safe, and efficient production operations by applying advanced troubleshooting expertise and driving Total Productive Maintenance initiatives.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and overhauls on production equipment with minimal supervision
- Ensure production equipment is running smoothly
- Troubleshoot advanced mechanical, electrical, and PLC-related issues to minimize downtime
- Plan, organize, and execute technical projects that support production needs, including equipment installations and modifications
- Champion safety programs and lead Total Productive Maintenance initiatives such as clean-and-restore projects
- Perform welding, fabrication, and equipment modification assignments per engineering specifications
- Train and coach fellow maintenance and production team members on equipment and best practices
Above all, you are a hands-on technical problem solver with advanced electrical and mechanical skills, a strong safety mindset, and the ability to lead projects and mentor others in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. We would also imagine that you have:
- Associate degree or trade school certification with advanced training in electrical or industrial maintenance, plus 2-3 years of manufacturing maintenance experience (or equivalent)
- Advanced troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, and motor control systems is required
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical documentation
- Ability to perform equipment diagnostics and repairs of motor control systems
- Physical ability to lift 50 pounds and work in a factory environment
- Ability to work fully onsite in our Fresno, CA facility on a 1st shift
It is a plus if you also:
- Experience with welding and fabrication in an industrial setting
- Demonstrated ability to lead or facilitate maintenance projects and cross-functional teams
- Proficiency with CMMS software and computer applications relevant to maintenance operations
The salary range for this position is $28.12 to $37.25 per hour. Individual pay will be determined based on market location and the candidate’s profile. The range listed is just one component of Grundfos’s total compensation and benefits package for employees.
Total compensation includes paid time off, paid holidays, merit increases, bonuses, and employee stock purchase programs, etc.
