- Assist clients with daily activities, promote independence, and facilitate inclusion in community experiences.
- Support clients with meals, cooking, household maintenance, grooming, and dressing as assigned.
- Maintain current knowledge of client needs and provide rapport with supervisors, landlords, employers, family members, and community partners.
- Implement individual training and support programs under direction of the responsible case manager.
- Participate in evaluation of clients through task analysis and assessment devices.
- Document activity records, reports, incidents, and client evaluations accurately and promptly.
- Advocate for clients when preferences, needs, or talents are neglected or overlooked.
- Oversee client activities and environment throughout shifts, ensuring health and safety needs are met.
Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Experience:
18 years of age or older. Successful completion of pre‑employment drug screen and background check. Physical evaluations may be required, including TB and lift‑and‑transfer tests.
Schedule:
A Direct Support Professional works as scheduled by the Regional Manager and/or their designee. Schedule may be part or full time depending on client needs. Overtime may be required, but no holiday or overtime may be worked without prior supervisor approval.
Mobile:
Employees must have a mobile smart device with reliable internet connectivity to complete essential job tasks. Reimbursement is provided for the device.
Travel:
Ability to travel within and across counties where services are provided, at least 75% of the time.
Certification:
Certification in an approved First‑Aid and CPR class within 45 days of hire.
