Retail Hazmat Collection Box Truck Driver (Class B CDL + Hazmat Endorsement Required) (Retail Technician (CDL)) in Fresno, CA. Clean Harbors is seeking a Class B Driver (Retail Technician) to provide comprehensive environmental services including collection and disposal of damaged, discarded or recalled products, recycling of light bulbs, oil, oil filters, engine fluids and other materials, and on‑site cleanup activities.

The position requires new hires to attend a two‑week Academy training out of state, with expenses covered by the company. After training, the driver will work full‑time in Fresno, CA.

• Pick up, pack and transport damaged and discarded goods and recalled products.
• Load, pack and segregate materials and waste products.
• Drive a box truck and visit retail customer sites.
• Segregate, pack and load materials and waste products (inventory that is damaged or expired) for safe transportation.
• Interact with customers at each stop.
• Prepare DOT shipping documents.
• Use a laptop, printer, handheld, and iPhone to complete tasks.
• Conduct projects/jobs at customer locations in accordance with site‑specific federal, state and local regulations, health and safety plans, and Clean Harbors policies.
• Execute jobs at Clean Harbors customer locations including Fortune 500 companies.
• Responsible for final preparation and approval of all projects before shipment in accordance with OSHA, EPA, DOT and company policies.
• Understand customer‑specific disposal restrictions and special packaging requirements.
• Ensure drum count is correct and drum conditions are shippable in accordance with company policies.
• Follow all local, state, and federal compliance regulations and rules.
• Safely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT, local, state, and federal requirements.
• Safely observe all corporate operating guidelines and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Valid Class
  
  B commercial driver’s license (CDL).
• Hazmat endorsement prior to hire.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to use a laptop, handheld, printer, and iPhone.
• Eligible to obtain a tanker endorsement within six months of hire.
• Perform physical functions required by the job.
• Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical examination.
• Per OSHA’s Respiratory Protection Standard (29
  
  CFR
  1910.34), employees in positions requiring respirators must meet facial‑hair standards.

• Hazmat and tanker endorsements.
