Overview

Retail Hazmat Collection Box Truck Driver (
Class B CDL + Hazmat Endorsement Highly Preferred
) (Retail Technician (CDL)) position available at Clean Harbors in Fresno, CA. This role requires attending a two‑week Academy training out of state, with all expenses covered and paid by the company.

• Pick up, pack and transport damaged, discarded or recalled goods.
• Load, pack and segregate materials and waste products for safe transportation.
• Drive a box truck and visit retail customer sites.
• Interact with customers at each stop and maintain a positive service experience.
• Prepare DOT shipping documents and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Use a laptop, printer, handheld device and iPhone to complete tasks and documentation.
• Conduct projects and jobs at customer locations according to Federal, State, local regulations and company health and safety plans.
• Ensure final preparation and approval of all projects before shipment in accordance with OSHA, EPA, DOT and company policies.
• Verify drum counts and conditions to meet company shipping standards.
• Perform any additional duties as assigned.

• Valid Class B CDL.
• Ability to obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsement within 90 days of employment (eligible to obtain a tanker endorsement within 6 months).
• Strong customer service skills.
• Perform physical functions required for the job.
• Successfully complete a background check, drug test and physical examination.
• Meet facial hair standards for respiratory protection per 29 CFR 1910.34.
• Preferred:
  Previous commercial driving experience, route experience and manual labor experience.
