Director of Operations

Our client, a growing distributor serving the food service, produce, protein, and cold-chain markets, is seeking an individual to lead its Fresno-area operation.

This role is responsible for overall operational performance, profitability, warehouse execution, transportation management, and workforce leadership. The successful candidate will oversee day‑to‑day operations while driving efficiency, accountability, and continuous improvement across the business.

• Lead all warehouse and transportation operations
• Maintain full P&L responsibility for the facility
• Drive operational efficiency, productivity, and cost control
• Manage and develop supervisors and frontline teams
• Ensure service, safety, quality, and delivery objectives are achieved
• Establish and monitor key performance metrics
• Implement process improvements and operational best practices
• Partner with senior leadership to support business objectives and growth initiatives

• 5+ years of leadership experience within food service distribution, produce, protein, beverage distribution, cold-chain logistics, or a related industry
• Experience overseeing both warehouse and transportation operations
• Proven success leading large hourly work forces
• Strong operational, analytical, and decision‑making skills
• Experience improving operational performance and driving change
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high-volume environment
