Delivery Driver – Part Time

Responsibilities

• Pick up and drop off automotive parts, adhering to assigned routes and time schedules.
• Ensure orders are properly fulfilled, with a focus on customer satisfaction and safety.
• Load, transport, and deliver items to customers or businesses in a timely, friendly, and courteous manner.
• Review orders before and after delivery to confirm completeness, correct charges, and customer satisfaction.
• Take and follow directions from a dispatcher, adhere to routes and time schedules, use navigation apps and alternate routes when necessary, and demonstrate knowledge of the delivery area.
• Assist with loading and unloading items from the vehicle without disrupting customer operations.
• Provide excellent customer service, answer questions, and professionally handle complaints and concerns.
• Abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.
• Accept payments, prepare reports including invoices and return forms, and reconcile all funds collected during deliveries.
• Complete daily maintenance checks on the company delivery vehicle and notify management of any issues.
• Assist with ancillary store/warehouse duties such as stock and parts pulling as assigned.
• Maintain and promote workplace safety.
• Secure and transfer cash or other assets.

• Current, valid driver’s license.
• Must meet company insurance requirements; drivers must be 21 years old or older.
• Ability to lift, move, push, and pull up to 50 pounds; able to sit for prolonged periods.
• Ability to manage, track, and account for money transactions and reconcile customer credit and debt balances.
• Ability to utilize a tablet and/or mobile device for navigation, route optimization, tracking, and customer interface/signature capture.
• Exceptional customer and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate professionally, with tact and diplomacy.
• Ability to take and follow directions and work effectively with others as part of a team.
• Flexible schedule with the ability to work overtime as needed (preferred).
• Previous delivery driving experience is a plus.
