We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Shipping/Receiving Associate (Lead) to join our warehouse team. This hands‑on leadership role is responsible for shipping and receiving operations while providing daily guidance and support to a small team of two employees. The ideal candidate has strong warehouse experience, excellent organizational skills, and previous leadership or supervisory experience.
Responsibilities:- Pick and stage materials for customer orders.
- Break down bulk inventory to fulfill customer‑specific requirements.
- Package products according to customer specifications.
- Operate a sit‑down or side‑loader forklift to safely move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Complete shipping and receiving documentation and process work orders using a computer system.
- Lead daily workflow, prioritize tasks, and provide direction to a team of two associates.
- Maintain productivity, accuracy, and quality standards in finished goods preparation.
- Promote a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
- Minimum of 2 years of shipping, receiving, warehouse, or related experience preferred.
- Previous leadership, supervisory, or management experience is highly desired.
- Forklift experience preferred.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to read and follow written instructions.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to pass a pre‑employment skills assessment evaluating reading, math, measurement, attention to detail, and problem‑solving.
- Ability to meet physical requirements, including vision, hearing, and mobility standards.
Successful candidates will be enrolled in a registered apprenticeship program as part of the onboarding process, providing hands‑on training and opportunities for long‑term career growth.
