- Responsible for creating and delivering an effective instructional program for assigned students.
- Responsible for implementing literacy interventions supported by student data.
- Responsible for establishing and maintaining an atmosphere conducive to learning within the classroom and assisting throughout the building.
- Responsible for the assessment of student progress.
- Responsible for collaborating with the teaching and learning department, principals, parents, IB coordinators, other staff and professional learning communities to ensure student needs are being met.
Skills and Abilities
- Strong desire and commitment to working with diverse students and staff.
- Applying current trends and data in the field of education and support.
- Utilizing standardized assessment tools.
- Effectively collaborating with a team.
- Constructively communicating with parents/guardians and team members.
- Hold a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university.
- Minnesota Department of Education teaching license required for specific assignment.

Working ConditionsThe physical demands of this job include regular speaking, hearing, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, and using hands. The employee may need to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 40 pounds occasionally. Close, distance, and focus vision are required.
