Grade 4 Teacher – school year. First teacher duty day August 24th; new teacher workshop week of August 17th.
Position Overview:1.0 FTE Grade 4 teaching position at Hayes Elementary School (High‑Needs School).
Essential Job Functions:- Responsible for creating and delivering effective instructional program for assigned students.
- Responsible for establishing and maintaining an atmosphere conducive to learning in the classroom and throughout the building.
- Responsible for assessment of student progress.
- Responsible for collaborating with teaching and learning department, principals, parents, IB coordinators, other staff and professional learning communities to ensure student needs are met.
- Strong desire and commitment to working with diverse students and staff.
- Applying current trends and data in the field of behavior interventions and support.
- Utilizing standardized assessment tools.
- Effectively collaborating with a team.
- Constructively communicating with parent/guardian and team members.
- Hold a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university.
- Minnesota Department of Education teaching license required for specific assignment.
All Phase 1 licensed teachers in Minnesota must complete one of the three approved evidence‑based reading professional development programs by July 1, 2026. If you have already completed one of the required trainings, please provide a copy of your certification with your application or upon hire.
Salary Range:BA, Step 1 at $51,599/yr to PhD, Step 17 at $111,313/yr. Placement will vary depending on education and experience.
