Job SummaryPerforms professional work within district multi-tiered system of support through obtaining and analyzing data to determine social-emotional needs of students. Serves as a liaison/link between students and federal, state and local social and community support programs. Serves as building homeless liaison. VISTA Education Center has a small caseload of students.
Responsibilities- Provides crisis intervention and prevention for families and students;
- Collaborates with school nurse, community agencies and industry professionals to meet individual student needs;
- Conducts interviews to obtain student social history;
- Refers students to and serves as a liaison with outside agencies;
- Conducts home visits when necessary;
- Assists students with social-emotional learning.
- Hold a baccalaureate degree from a college or university that is accredited.
- Minnesota Department of Education School Social Worker License.

BA, Step 1 at $51,599/yr to PhD, Step 17 at $111,313/yr, placement will vary depending on education and experience.
