Developmental Adapted Physical Education Teacher (.5 FTE)

Within federal and state law and regulations and district policy and practice:
- Responsible for the management of the instructional program for assigned students.
- Responsible to establish and maintain an atmosphere conducive to learning within the classroom and assist in same throughout the building.
- Responsible for the assessment of student progress.
- Responsible for other duties as assigned by the building principal which are necessary to fulfill the basic function of the position and are consistent with the Master Agreement.
- Hold a baccalaureate degree from a college or university that is accredited.
- Minnesota Department of Education teaching license required for specific assignment.
All Phase 1 licensed teachers in Minnesota must complete one of the three approved evidence‑based reading professional development programs by July 1, 2026. If you have already completed the required training, please provide a copy of your certification with your application or upon hire. If not, FPS will support you in fulfilling this requirement through participation in the LTRS training program for school year 2025‑26.

Salary RangeBA, Step 1 at $51,599/yr to PhD, Step 17 at $111,313/yr. Placement will vary depending on education and experience. View salary grid on the respective bargaining unit listed above, accessible via our Master Agreements page.
