Warehouse Associate / Forklift Operator / Order Picker - 1st Shift

POSITION

DESCRIPTION:

This position will be supporting both internal Technicians and external vendors through a variety of different avenues including maintenance, shipping and receiving, and transporting Company vehicles. This role will assist in product procurement and vendor management with an emphasis in our Pest Control division. This position will act as a point of contact for these internal Technicians.

$21.00/hr - $26.00/hr

• Clean, repair, fabricate, and maintain various pest control equipment.
• Assist in shipping, receiving, and inventory control.
• Prepare large material orders for the field staff.
• Operate forklift to move product as needed.
• Transport Company service vehicles and trailers in Plunkett’s service area.
• Perform building maintenance as needed.

• Work in a safe manner by adhering to OSHA, state requirements, and Plunkett’s policies and procedures.
• Participate fully in training opportunities to enhance knowledge and to meet requirements for safety standards.
• Project a friendly, pleasant, courteous, and professional image when dealing with internal and external clients.

• Ability to lift/push/pull up to 100 lbs.; extensive bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, reaching overhead, climbing ladder.
• Perform tasks requiring foot and/or hand‑eye coordination such as driving a vehicle (manual shift), operating power tools and equipment, driving forklift, operating pallet jack, 2‑wheel dolly.
• Use computer‑based applications such as e‑mail.
• Stand and/or sit for prolonged periods while performing essential functions of the position.
• Walk, stand, twist and squat (e.g., receive and ship supplies, repair equipment, building and grounds maintenance).
• Must have a valid driver’s license and safe driving record.

The Warehouse Support / Stockroom works indoors in a semi‑climate‑controlled environment (no AC in summer months). May experience extreme temperatures due to seasonal conditions. May be exposed to oil, cleaning chemicals, pesticides, lubricants, dust while working in the warehouse area; loud noises (e.g., power tools); electrical and mechanical hazards.

Generally Monday through Friday. May be required to work weekends and overtime as necessary.

After training period is complete this role will oversee daily shipping, pulling of pick up orders, receiving, equipment maintenance, facility projects, and fabricating any pest equipment we produce in house.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years’ experience in shipping & receiving or a similar environment.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be able to work in a team environment and develop positive relationships with co‑workers.
• Must be able to manage multiple activities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Experience with tools and electrical systems is a plus.
