FLEET & WAREHOUSE MANAGER
About the Role:
The Fleet & Warehouse Manager provides strategic and operational leadership for multi‑site warehouse operations and company‑wide fleet management. This role is fully accountable for the safety, efficiency, compliance, cost control, and continuous improvement of our Fridley, MN and Columbus, OH warehouse locations, as well as all fleet vehicles, equipment, and supporting infrastructure across the organization. The position leads people, processes, assets, and vendors while driving a culture of accountability, safety, and operational excellence.
Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per year.
Key Responsibilities- Warehouse Operations
- Own end‑to‑end warehouse operations for both locations, ensuring aligned processes, standards, and performance expectations.
- Establish and enforce SOPs for receiving, storage, picking, staging, shipping, and material handling.
- Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Maintain optimal warehouse layout, space utilization, and material flow.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and cost reduction.
- Fleet Operations and Asset Management
- Maintain full accountability for the company's fleet program, including vehicles, trailers, and mobile equipment.
- Oversee fleet lifecycle management from selection and acquisition through disposal.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, insurance, and internal safety standards.
- Develop maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and control costs.
- Lead the Fleet Coordinator on records, licensing, inspections, and reporting.
- Equipment, Materials, and Facilities
- Partner with Equipment and Materials Coordinators to ensure readiness, compliance, and optimal utilization.
- Oversee day‑to‑day facility operations at warehouse and Edina, MN locations, including preventative maintenance, repairs, and vendor coordination.
- Implement controls to prevent asset loss, damage, or misuse.
- Ensure emergency preparedness, security protocols, and risk mitigation plans are in place.
- People Leadership and Continuous Improvement
- Lead team members across multiple locations, fostering accountability, engagement, and development.
- Set clear goals, conduct performance reviews, and address performance issues promptly.
- Establish and monitor KPIs across safety, inventory accuracy, fleet utilization, and cost.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean or similar methodologies.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, Business, or equivalent experience.
- 3 to 5+ years of progressive warehouse, fleet, and/or operations management experience, including direct supervisory experience.
- Proven experience managing multi-site operations and cross‑functional teams.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse systems, fleet management programs, inventory controls, and equipment operations.
- Demonstrated understanding of OSHA and safety compliance requirements.
- Experience supporting field service, logistics, or multi-location operations.
- Familiarity with shipping carriers and drop‑shipping workflows.
- Background in construction, manufacturing, distribution, or industrial service environments.
