About the RoleThe CNC Grinding Machinist plays a crucial role in the manufacturing process by operating and maintaining CNC grinding machines to produce precision components. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of machining processes to ensure that all parts meet stringent quality standards. The machinist will be responsible for interpreting technical drawings and specifications to set up and adjust machines accordingly.
Additionally, they will monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments to maintain optimal performance and efficiency. Ultimately, the success of this role directly impacts the overall production quality and efficiency of the manufacturing process.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a CNC machinist, specifically with CNC grinding machines.
- Strong understanding of machining processes and technical drawings.
- Certification in CNC machining or related field.
- Experience with OD/; experience with Kellenberger Grinder highly favorable.
- Honing experience a big plus, but not necessary.
- Experience with CAD/CAM software.
- Knowledge of quality control standards and practices.
- Set up and operate CNC grinding machines according to specifications and production schedules.
- Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine machining requirements.
- Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC grinding equipment.
- Conduct quality inspections of finished products using precision measuring instruments.
The required skills for this position include a strong understanding of CNC machining processes, which are essential for setting up and operating grinding machines effectively. Attention to detail is critical, as the machinist must ensure that all components meet precise specifications and quality standards. Problem-solving skills are also important, as the machinist will need to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the machining process.
