Maintenance Manager Position at Fridley, MN Salary Range: $95K-$125K
Summary:
The Maintenance Manager, reporting to the Production Director, is responsible for overseeing all plant maintenance and capital activities at the Fridley site. This role involves leading the maintenance team in fostering a culture of Safety, Continuous Improvement, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). The successful candidate will collaborate with peers and global leaders to implement systems for top‑notch manufacturing performance.
Responsibilities- Maintenance Leadership & Safety
- Drive safety compliance and continuous improvement efforts.
- Provide hands‑on support in mechanical and electrical repairs.
- Mentor and develop maintenance personnel.
- Operations Support & Systems Management
- Utilize management systems for maintenance performance tracking.
- Establish standards of work to ensure quality production.
- Manage Preventive Maintenance strategies and budgets.
- Capital & Continuous Improvement
- Lead site capital projects and process improvement initiatives.
- Embed best practices into plant systems.
- People & Team Development
- Foster a culture of high engagement and continuous improvement.
- Develop and maintain a high‑performing maintenance team.
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of maintenance management, reliability, or project leadership experience.
- Demonstrated ability to drive change in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Fluency in English.
- B.S. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Experience in Process Safety Management.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies.
- Frequent physical activity in a manufacturing setting.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work around machinery and chemicals.
- Occasional travel may be required.
