Tool Maker Role with Growing Industry Leader

Salary: $38–$45 per hour

We have been a leading manufacturer of seals and rubber products since 1955. Capabilities include an in‑house tool shop and mold design for quick prototyping of injection, compression, and transfer tools, compound development and a material test lab with over 1,000 existing formulations.

• Assemble, fit, and finish molds, dies, tools, gauges, and related tooling.
• Perform mold maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting.
• Work directly from 2D and 3D CAD drawings and engineering prints.
• Perform final fitting, refinement, and precision adjustments to tooling components.
• Maintain micron‑level tolerances and high‑quality workmanship standards.

• Operate manual machining equipment including Bridgeport mills, surface grinders, tool grinders, drill presses, and cut‑off saws.
• Operate CNC mills and lathes.
• Perform drilling, tapping, chamfering, deburring, and plate straightening.
• Support ongoing tool room and machine shop operations.

• Operate CMM equipment for dimensional verification.
• Utilize precision measuring equipment, including micrometers, calipers, shadow graphs, and other instruments.
• Perform and document in‑process inspections to verify tooling meets engineering and quality specifications.

• Technical degree, apprenticeship, or equivalent toolmaking experience.
• Experience working in a machine shop, mold shop, or precision manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings and blueprints.
• Strong understanding of machining practices and precision measurement.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Mold building, mold repair, or mold maintenance experience.
• CNC machining experience.
• CMM experience.
• Familiarity with Mastercam.
• Experience working with tight‑tolerance precision components.
