Your Opportunity

Taylor Corporation is seeking a Folder Equipment Operator in our Fridley, MN facility. The role involves setting up, operating, and maintaining folding equipment while ensuring efficiency and adherence to safety standards. You will play a crucial role in daily operations and contribute to production goals.

Your Responsibilities
  • Setup, operate, and monitor complex folding machinery, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to production schedules.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment to identify potential issues before they impact production.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Train and mentor new and existing employees on machinery operation, safety protocols, best practices, and quality expectations.
  • Delegate tasks effectively to enhance team productivity and maintain a smooth workflow.
  • Serve as a positive role model, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
  • Provide regular updates to the Production Supervisor on equipment status, production metrics, and any issues encountered.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records related to equipment performance, production output, and maintenance activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, DOT, HAZMAT, and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to all departmental policies and procedures.
  • Utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) consistently and correctly.
  • Maintain accurate data entry for time keeping, job costing, and MRP job tracking.
  • Ability to setup equipment for new products and complex projects.
  • Materials management – request materials required to maintain productivity.
Your Shift
  • 3rd Shift;
    Monday - Friday, 10:00pm - 6:00am
You Must Have
  • Machine Operation experience, preferably with folding equipment.
  • Ability to comprehend number sequencing and recognize errors.
  • Ability to work with numbers.
  • Maintains a pattern of regular and predictable attendance.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal directions.
  • Good mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Ability to respond to continually changing priorities and coordinate multiple projects.
  • Perform a variety of tasks throughout the day in a fast‑paced work environment.
  • Interact constructively and effectively with all plant employees.
  • Ability to work in a team environment toward a common goal.
  • React to change productively and handle other tasks assigned.
  • Service‑oriented individual with high energy, positive, and friendly demeanor.
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
Requirements Within This Position
  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand.
  • Regularly required to remain in a stationary position.
  • Constantly operates machinery and handles products, including print materials.
  • Frequently required to move inside the facility.
  • Regularly move up to 25+ pounds (lift, push, pull, and/or carry).

The anticipated hourly range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00. The actual base offered depends on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
