Job Overview
Folder Equipment Operator – Fridley, MN. Responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining folding equipment to meet production goals while ensuring safety compliance.
Responsibilities- Setup, operate, and monitor complex folding machinery.
- Conduct inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot malfunctions to minimize downtime.
- Train and mentor new and existing employees on equipment operation, safety protocols, best practices, and quality expectations.
- Delegate tasks, serve as a positive role model, and maintain teamwork and accountability.
- Provide regular updates to the Production Supervisor on equipment status, production metrics, and issues.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment performance, production output, and maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with safety, DOT, HAZMAT, environmental regulations and departmental policies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, using PPE consistently.
- Enter data for timekeeping, job costing, and MRP job tracking.
- Setup equipment for new products and complex projects.
- Manage materials, request required items to maintain productivity.
- Machine operation experience, preferably with folding equipment.
- Ability to comprehend number sequencing and recognize errors.
- Proficient with numbers and mechanical aptitude.
- Regular attendance, ability to follow written and verbal directions.
- Flexibility for overtime and changing priorities; ability to handle multiple projects.
- Team-oriented, constructive interaction with plant employees.
- Service-oriented, high energy, friendly demeanor.
- Proficiency in standing for prolonged periods, lifting/pushing/pulling up to 25+ lbs.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
3rd Shift: Monday–Friday, 10:00pm – 6:00am.
CompensationHourly range: $18.00–$23.00, dependent on qualifications, experience, and location, as part of Taylor Corporation’s total compensation and benefits package.
