We are looking for a talented, driven individual to join our 1st shift team in Fridley, MN, where we focus on precision, efficiency, and superior customer satisfaction.

Summary

Join our re‑manufacturing team as a Dyno Technician, a critical role responsible for ensuring every re‑manufactured engine meets our high performance and quality standards. You will manage the end‑to‑end testing process—from workstation setup and instrument calibration to live engine testing and troubleshooting—ensuring our customers receive a reliable, top‑tier product.

1st Shift

1st Shift: 5AM-1:30PM Pay: Starting at $20-21/hr

Responsibilities
  • Engine Preparation: Assemble and prep remanufactured engines for testing. This includes mounting engines to test carts, installing them into test cells, and connecting vital systems (fuel, power, coolant, and oil).
  • Testing & Execution: Operate test cell controls to execute dynamometer runs. Monitor real‑time data to ensure all engine results meet strict internal and customer specifications.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Analyze test data to identify performance issues. Provide technical support to troubleshoot and resolve engine failures detected during the dyno process.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair test cell infrastructure, including pumps, valves, fans, and relays.
  • Inventory & Calibration: Manage the inventory of testing instrumentation and process controls. Ensure all equipment is properly calibrated and functioning at peak efficiency.
  • Data Management: Accurately archive and update raw test data and run logs for quality tracking.
  • Process Improvement: Follow all Standard Work instructions and recommend procedural updates to improve departmental efficiency and safety.
  • Safety & Organization: Operate overhead hoists and moving carts safely. Maintain a clean, orderly workstation in compliance with all safety regulations and PPE requirements.
Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience: 1+ years of related mechanical experience in a manufacturing or automotive environment.
  • Technical

    Skills:

    Strong mechanical aptitude with a preference for candidates knowledgeable in diesel engines, electrical systems, and hydraulics.
  • Problem Solving: Proven ability to diagnose mechanical issues and problem‑solve in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Communication: Ability to read, interpret, and follow detailed technical drawings and oral instructions.
Working Conditions

Fast‑paced, hands‑on manufacturing setting. The environment on the shop floor is usually loud, hot and humid in the summer months and involves standing on cement floors with exposure to chemicals and metal particles. PPE is always required on manufacturing floor.
