Key Position Details- On‑call, casual position (0.0
FTE) - Variable hours: day, evening, and night shifts
- Travel required; mileage reimbursement provided
- Must respond to assigned hospitals within one hour of home hospital
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills with independent practice
- Available for on‑call hours during days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Required to work one 8‑hour holiday shift per year
- Required to complete 56 hours of on‑call per month for the first three years
- Expected to attend at least 80% of staff meetings

Abbott Northwestern‑Minneapolis, MN;
United Hospital‑St.Paul, MN;
United Hospital‑Regina Campus‑Hastings, MN;
St.Francis Regional Medical Center‑Shakopee, MN;
Two‑Twelve Medical Center‑Chaska, MN;
Ridgeview Medical Center‑Waconia, MN.
Registered Nurse responsibilities include diagnosing and treating human responses to health issues, establishing intentional therapeutic relationships between nurses, patients, and families, leading integrative care, planning, coordinating, and evaluating patient care needs, providing specialized care for victims of violence, and offering consultation and testimony in civil and criminal proceedings.
Principle Responsibilities- Comprehensive assessment of patient and family needs
- Identify outcomes based on needs assessment; establish plan of care
- Supervise progress and modify plan as needed
- Maintain education and competencies for high‑quality practice
- Apply evidence‑based nursing practice considering statutes, rules, and regulations
- Collaborate with family and patient to set realistic, measurable outcomes
- Coordinate, collaborate, and delegate to ensure safe, effective care
- Fulfill all organizational requirements
- Charge Nurse (only when acting in this role):
Demonstrates ability to coordinate, delegate, and direct unit operation; collaborates effectively with unit staff, leadership, and other disciplines. - Preceptor (only when acting in this role):
Demonstrates ability to identify orientee's learning needs, plan suitable learning experiences, and validate clinical competence of orientee. - Other duties as assigned.
- Associate's or Vocational degree
- Minimum 1 year RN experience
- SANE 40‑hour Adult and Adolescent Didactic Course completion (within past five years or in process)
- Bachelor's degree
- Forensic nursing experience
- 16‑hour Skills Lab training completion
- SANE‑A Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner‑Adult/Adolescent
- Licensed Registered Nurse – MN Board of Nursing (required if working in MN upon hire)
- WI Department of Safety & Professional Services (required if working in WI upon hire)
- At least one of:
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Current BLS certification from the American Red Cross
- Allina in‑house BLS training (within 30 days of hire)
Medium; lifting up to 32lbs occasionally (Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy), up to 25lbs frequently.
Pay Range$50.00 to $60.00 per hour. Shift, weekend, and other differentials may be available.
