Job Summary
The Chemist I role will have responsibility for performing a variety of routine and non‑routine tasks in a regulated laboratory environment to support and develop analytical chemistry platforms. The role works in conformance with GLP, regulatory requirements, and company quality systems.
Responsibilities- Comply with all quality system requirements.
- Prepare, collect, measure and record samples.
- Document test and data analysis results.
- Participate in cross‑functional continuous improvement activities.
- Communicate with team members to meet schedule requirements.
- Apply knowledge to troubleshoot test method failures.
- Analyze data and collate test results.
- Communicate priority and timeliness for customer requests.
- Help drive the team to meet business goals.
- Support development area and commercial QC release as needed.
- Learn and understand the manufacturing organization supported by the lab.
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, material science, or related technical discipline.
- No prior work experience required.
- One year of laboratory experience in wet chemistry.
- Experience with UPLC/HPLC, GC, Karl Fischer, FT‑IR, UV‑Vis.
- Experience with chromatography software (e.g., Empower).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to work with solvents and pharmaceutical substances.
- Strong technical ability, equipment set‑up, and troubleshooting skills.
Job Requirements
- Stand, sit, or walk up to 8 hours per day.
- Perform bench‑level experiments, light lifting, bending, or stretching as needed.
- Use computer and phone during meetings.
This position requires unrestricted U.S. work authorization. Sponsorship is not provided for roles below principal level.
Benefits & CompensationSalary range (U.S. excluding Puerto Rico): $68,000–$102,000. Additional benefits include health, dental, vision insurance; 401(k) with employer match; paid time off; MIP; and other standard benefits.
